The store (1F-6F) runs 9:30-22:00 on every floor and the official page lists no regular closing day. In the same building the B1F and 7F specialty floors run 9:30-22:00, the 8F restaurant floor 11:00-23:00, the 9F golf shop 11:00-22:00, and the golf range and batting centre 10:30-23:00. The official page notes an after-hours pickup counter.

How to find it

One minute on foot from the JR Akihabara Showa-dori exit: the nine-storey block on the east side of the station with the ヨドバシAkiba sign high on the facade, which the operator lists as connected to all five Akihabara station lines. Enter on 1F on the station side and ride the escalator or lift to 6F for the games and toys section.

Tips

• If 6F is your target, take the escalator or lift straight up from the 1F entrance; bicycles, fitness and outdoor gear share that floor with games and toys.
• It stays open until 22:00, so it is one of the few places in Akihabara where you can still browse plastic models and trading cards after the Chuo-dori goods shops close at 20:00.
• Hours differ by floor in the same building: B1F and 7F specialty shops 9:30-22:00, 8F restaurants 11:00-23:00, 9F golf shop 11:00-22:00, golf range and batting centre 10:30-23:00.
• The official pages say nothing about tax-free service, so bring your passport and ask at the register. There is a buyback counter on 2F and a yodobashi.com order pickup counter on 1F.
