How to find it
The Trader Honten building on Chuo-dori, B1F to 7F. It stands just south of the Taito Station arcade building and north of Bic Camera AKIBA; the 1F entrance opens onto the Chuo-dori sidewalk, and the whole building from the B1F buyback floor up to 7F is Trader.
Tips
- The old main store across Chuo-dori (west side) closed on 6 May 2024 and the shop reopened on 23 May 2024 in this new building on the former Trader No.3 site; maps and blog posts from before 2024 point at the wrong place.
- 6F and 7F are adult floors (PC games, adult anime and comics, live-action adult DVD/Blu-ray) and are off-limits to anyone under 18.
- Selling happens on 1F-7F; buyback is accepted only at the B1F buyback floor, where Japanese secondhand-dealer law requires photo ID such as a passport.
- Besides cash, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX, Diners Club, UnionPay), e-money and QR payments are accepted. The official page says nothing about tax-free service.
