- The DEN Room recreating a modeller's home hobby space, the 4,535mm-wide diorama, new-product cases, factory-direct samples, the Players' Zone, a beginners' corner and a play table doubling as a photo studio
How to find it
On the quiet Shoheibashi-dori side at the western edge of Akihabara, on 1F of the Dai-ichi Denpa Building Annex at Sotokanda 2-4-4. Look for the glass shopfront under the blue 'TOMIX 鉄道模型 Precise Model Railroad' sign. Seven minutes from JR Akihabara's Electric Town Exit, six from Ochanomizu (Marunouchi line) exits 1/2, eight from Suehirocho exits 1/3.
Tips
- Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays; when one falls on a public holiday it opens and takes the following weekday off instead.
- Weekends and holidays are 10:00-18:00 while weekdays are 11:00-19:00, so weekends open and close earlier.
- It is not display-only - TOMIX products are sold on site.
- The 4,535mm-wide layout on 2F is long enough to run a full Shinkansen consist.
- There is no phone desk, so questions have to go through a visit or the official SNS accounts.
