How to find it

Leave the JR Akihabara Electric Town ticket gate to the right; the plaza is straight ahead, and from there you walk left. The Sobu-line viaduct over the main road is the landmark - cross at the crossing beneath it and the building is on the far side. The official page calls it a two-minute walk.

Tips

  • Floor after floor of one- and two-metre parts counters. There is no anime or game retail here: it is vacuum tubes, resistors, connectors and maker kits, a shopping stop rather than a sightseeing one.
  • The Maywa Denki shop on 2F sells nonsense instruments such as the Otamatone and its goods, worth a look even if you do not solder.
  • The building runs 10:00-19:00 but each stall keeps its own hours and holidays, so many counters are shut in the evening.
