The official store page gives 11:00 on weekdays and 10:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and lists no regular closing day. The opening-era 10:00-22:00 year-round hours, the old Friday/Saturday late-night closing and OSM's 09:00-22:00 are all out of date.

How to find it

One minute from JR Akihabara's Electric Town Exit. Pass Radio Kaikan in front of the exit and carry on 20-30 m southeast to Sotokanda 1-15-15, the Yamamoto Musen Building (山本無線ビル), which carries blue 駿河屋 signs from B1F up to 3F. The building right next door to the east holds Liberty stores 2 and 6.

Tips

  • Opens 11:00 on weekdays and 10:00 at weekends and on public holidays; the 09:00-22:00 hours still shown on travel sites and maps are obsolete, so an early-morning visit is wasted.
  • The range is retro and current games, figures, anime/game/doujin CDs, doujinshi, illustration and setting-material books, gravure video and cosplay ROMs. For model trains, plastic kits or trading cards go to another Surugaya branch in Akihabara.
  • The store runs a separate X account for adult goods (@surugaya_st_ad) and an older official listing included adult goods and video, so expect an age-restricted corner if you have children with you.
  • Buyback here covers the same range the shop sells; other genres go to the Surugaya Akihabara Buying Center, which takes all genres. Selling needs a member card and photo ID every time.
  • Free Wi-Fi in store, and the O2O 'anshin' service lets you get an online quote first and bring the items straight to the counter.
