How to find it
An all-black 8-storey building on the back street one block west of Chuo-dori, about 4 minutes from the Electric Town exit. Look for the vertical まんだらけ (Mandarake) banner on the dark facade; enter by the 1F buyback counter, or use the exterior staircase on the side of the building to go straight to an upper floor.
Tips
- Tax-free works by numbered ticket: show your passport at the register, pay the tax-free price, leave the items, and collect everything at the tax-free counter (until 19:00) when you finish. Minimum 5,000 yen before tax.
- Cash plus VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Amex, transit IC cards and QR payments such as PayPay, Alipay and WeChat Pay are accepted.
- The 4F male-oriented doujinshi floor includes an adult comics and magazines section that is off-limits to anyone under 18.
- Trading cards, video games, CDs/DVDs and railway goods moved to the nearby Mandarake Complex 2 (Soto-Kanda 3-12-2), opened 30 Aug 2025. Buyback for both stores is handled on 1F here until 19:30 (sofubi and designer toys go to Mandarake CoCoo).
