How to find it
Floors 1 and 2 of the nine-story building immediately south of the KHK Building (Surugaya Anime & Hobby) on the east sidewalk of Chuo-dori. The shop's own directions give five minutes from JR Akihabara and two from Ginza-line Suehirocho; rows of gachapon machines on the pavement make it easy to spot.
Tips
- Show your original passport and spend 5,500 yen including tax in one store for tax-free; all six Akihabara Liberty branches handle it, and general items like figures are handed over unsealed.
- The draw here is gachapon, happy (blind) bags and Pokemon-card vending machines, so bring 100-yen coins.
- Credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX, Diners, Discover, UnionPay), Apple Pay and Google Pay, Suica and PASMO, and PayPay, WeChat Pay and Alipay are all accepted.
- For more figures, walk Chuo-dori north to the Liberty Building at Sotokanda 4-7-1 (Store 8 on 1F, Store 11 on 2F for Gunpla and minicars) or south to the Ogiso Building at 4-4-3 (Store 4, Ichiban Kuji).
