How to find it
About 400 m west of Chuo-dori, in the Sotokanda 3-chome block below Kanda Myojin — a small ground-floor shop some 30 m southeast of the Popondetta Akihabara model-railway store, with a '鉄道模型 ちゃトラ' sign.
Tips
- Hours are posted on the shop's own Jimdo page (chatora45000.jimdofree.com): a basic 13:00-20:00, closed Wednesdays. The chatora.tokyo posts stop in 2020, so check X (@chatora45000) or ring 03-3525-4394 for anything current.
- Three N-gauge rental layout tracks let you run what you have just bought: 700 yen an hour at weekends and on public holidays, half that on weekdays.
- A one-person shop specialising in used Japanese-prototype N gauge; it says it buys high and sells low because it carries no staff costs.
