How to find it

Top floor (8F) of the Don Quijote Akihabara building (the former Minami Building) on Chuo-dori. Enter on 1F from the Chuo-dori side and take the elevator up to 8F, where the theater lobby and waiting area are. The same building has a maid cafe on 5F and an arcade on 6F-7F, so check the floor indicator and get off at 8F.

Tips

• Tickets are only available by online lottery at the AKB48 Ticket Center (akb48.zaiko.io). General applications close about 5 days before the show at 16:00 JST, and winners pay online within a set window. There are no same-day tickets
• Prices are a flat 4,100-4,300 yen depending on the performance, with no separate men's, women's or student rate; a lobby-viewing ticket is 1,800 yen. Cash sales at the theater counter ended with the 2024 renovation
• Bring photo ID (passport etc.) for the entry check. Entry order is drawn from ticket serial numbers about 30 minutes before curtain, and all seats and standing spots are unreserved
• No photos, video or audio recording inside the theater; still photos are allowed in the lobby only, excluding monitors. Bags may not be taken in, so use the paid lobby coin lockers, and expect a metal-detector check at the door
